Holiday Hot Chocolate Truffle Balls

I found these Hot Chocolate Truffle Balls courtesy of Mel’s Kitchen cafe Recipe For Hot Chocolate Truffle Balls  and I decided to share them with you here and show you how I made them:

First you have to make sure you have all the ingredients (see recipe link for full ingredients):

Secondly you want to combine all your ingredients together:

After all your ingredients are added together, you are going to add the bowl into the microwave and heat for one minute intervals only in order to make sure the chocolate does not burn:

After each interval you want to make sure you whisk the chocolate mixture throughly. It may look weird at first but you want to keep mixing and eventually it will come together:
Once your mixture looks like the photo above, you want to cover with plastic wrap and let it cool in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. After the mixture is cool and workable you want to take it out of the fridge and start spooning out 1/4 spoonfuls of the mixture and putting them on an aluminum foil adorned cookie sheet:

Let the spoonfuls cool in the fridge for 10-20 minutes and then start forming the spoonfuls into balls and covering them up with plastic wrap:

You are all done. Now I made these truffle balls as a gift and I followed Mel's instructions and put the balls in a lovely holiday mug and attached heating up instructions.
All you do is plop one of the balls into a mug and add some milk and I suggest warming in the microwave for 2 minutes if the balls are frozen.
I suggest keeping these balls frozen that way they can last for at least 1-2 months.
These truffle balls make a great holiday gift for any loved one and I am sure my friends will enjoy them just as much as yours!

Happy Holidays!
