CLEANSER SPOTLIGHT: St. Ives Apricot Scrub Review

Hello Everyone,

Just a reminder before I get on with the review, that my first  GIVEAWAY is still up and running and you can enter until October 16th at 11:59 pm and I will announce the winners on Twitter after Midnight and in a brand new blog post at 8:00am.

Make sure you enter the GIVEAWAY by clicking this link and following the instructions which are also in the post.

Today I am starting a new segment which I have talked about incorporating before and it is called CLEANSER SPOTLIGHT. I love trying cleansers and switching them up. Cleansers are not meant to do miraculous things and truthfully they only stay on your skin for a limited amount of time so you don't need cleansers that are too fancy. I like trying new ones and seeing what is being offered and how well they perform so I have a brand new CLEANSER SPOTLIGHT for you today.

REVIEW TIME

The product that I have to review is the St. Ives Apricot Scrub for Sensitive Skin. This cleanser/scrub is raved and raved about in the beauty blogging world and I am going to talk to you about my experiences with it.

So the regular formula of this scrub is definitely way too abrasive for me so I was really excited to see the gentle formula for sensitive skin and find out whether or not it really is as gentle as it claims.

This scrub features tiny crystal type beads in the original and the gentle formula. For me personally, as I have sensitive skin I prefer gel type beads because they are less harsh on your skin. They are not as sharp as crystals so they don't irritate your skin.

Even though this scrub was designed for more sensitive skin I still felt like the beads were way to abrasive and I did not notice a big difference between the normal formula and the gentle formula.

I would only recommend this scrub if you had oilier skin and your skin is also not sensitive and if it is able to handle abrasive scrubs that feature small crystal like beads.

If you are looking for a much more gentle scrub I would recommend the Olay Regenerist Advanced Anti Aging Detoxifying Pore Scrub. It features gel beads and is much gentler. I will do a more thorough review on that later on.

I hope you enjoyed this first CLEANSER SPOTLIGHT. I love trying new cleansers and I love sharing this information with you.

Don't forget to check out the GIVEAWAY post and enter if you haven't already!

Stay Happy!

- Cate W.
