Kit Exfoiliating Face Mask Review

I love facemasks, but I hardly ever get a chance to do them, unless I'm having a girly day at Cate's. It is my goal this spring and summer season to work on taking better care of my skin and I think a weekly facemask is one way I can start doing that. It's affordable too! The facemasks from Kit at Rexall are only $1.99. I'm pretty sure it's worth it at that price to pamper myself and my skin!

Today I'm using Kit's Exfoiliating Mask. This mask contains shea butter and has a really nice creamy texture. There's also no parabens either, which is always reassuring. Bonus: there's enough for two people to use or for you to seal and save to use again, which is always nice. Really cuts the cost in half if you can use it twice!

How it works: The instructions read to wet your face with warm water, apply the mask, and then wait five minutes before washing it off. I liked that the masks only need to be applied for a short time, as it is easier to fit into a busy day!

It was quite relaxing wearing the mask for a few minutes. I was able to wash my makeup brushes (I was in the bathroom anyway!) and sit mindfully and think about my day. After about a minute I started to feel that face-masky feeling where your skin gets a bit warm and tingly- it feels like it's really working away! The masks also smells sweet, but isn't overpowering.

After taking off the facemask (ugh, the worst part! I don't know how people take these off elegantly!), my skin felt really soft and dewy! I was craving exfoliation to get rid of all the dead skin and brighten my skin up a bit and this really worked! Thanks to this mask and the magic it worked on my face, I'm going foundation free today- just going to add a touch of eyeliner.

Next week I will be trying Kit's Detoxifying Mask with tea tree oil, so follow our blog so you don't miss out!

I'd love to hear about your favourite facemasks in the comments!
