Vichy Aqualia Thermal Night Spa Review

So I have pretty normal skin but in the colder months (which are quite long here in Vancouver) my skin goes a little crazy on the dry side and I am often left with some dry patches that are really hard to remove.

This past December I had that problem on my cheeks (the driest part of my face) and nothing was working. So I popped into my local Shoppers Drug Mart and lo and behold, a representative from Vichy happened to be there and help me to pick out the Aqualia Thermal Mineral Balm which I review more in depth here. This was a miracle for me; it completely got rid of my dry patches and I still use it today because it is not too thick of a formula for me.

That was my first experience trying something for Vichy and I was excited to try more. A couple weeks later I saw a post by Ashley from the blog www.chictoronto.com do a post (you can find here) on the Night Spa by Vichy which was a part of the same Aqualia Themral line and I knew I had to try it.

Vichy contacted me and offered to send me a bottle of it and I was so exited to try it out and now that I have been using it for quite some time. I thought I would tell you a bit more about it.

Product Info: This will run your around $35.00 for a generous 75ml (standard moisturizers are around 50ml).

Consistency: This is a very light gel like consistency that almost doesn't seem like it would be hydrating enough for extremely dry skin.

How I Use It: I use this exactly how the packaging specifies. I apply a thick layer to my skin and let it sink in for 15 minutes and then slightly rub in the excess into my skin and you're good to go. You are only supposed to use this mask 2 to 3 times a week maximum. I only use it once a week because my skin is not too dry currently but in the colder months I use it more.

My Thoughts: This is a really hydrating overnight treatment. Despite the thinner consistency, it still gets the job done and because it is a thinner consistency, even if you apply a thick layer you still don't use up very much product so it lasts quite a while. One thing I do find is that because you have to apply a thick layer sometimes the formula flakes off the skin because there is a lot of it but it is not too pesky.

Overall: I think this mask/overnight treatment in perfect for those with normal to dry skin because it is a nice consistency that is not too thick and does not clog your pores while still providing exceptional hydration. I would definitely purchase this myself next winter as it is not too pricey for the amount you get and it will keep my dry, flakey patches away.

I hope this post was helpful for you. Make sure to share with me in the comments if you have tried this overnight treatment mask or your experiences with other overnight treatments.

*Disclaimer: This product was kindly sent to me by Vichy as a gift and not in exchange for a review. My opinions are one hundred percent honest.
